Not sure why PLTR is not asking the question “Where have we misused data?”. Their whole business model is on protecting data. If they were misusing data it would tank the company. The COVID rollout in the UK shows nowhere did they use the data to their benefit. Such a business model, when it comes to data, is so foreign to tech companies, people assume it will be sold or used because that is what most tech companies do to generate revenue.

Data governance is not just the services providers role. There are many data stakeholders and owners in the chain. Those finance analysts should study data governance further before they issue buy or hold or sell recommendations to their investors.
